Maxillary Bone Augmentation for Dental Implants

Case report

This 24 year old patient had suffered loss of upper teeth and significant amount of bone following car accident. She was using a temporary partial denture which was difficult to chew with and also did not look great. She wanted to have fixed dental-implant supported teeth to restore her smile and confidence.  Because there was significant loss of bone (width and height), the treatment was designed in a staged fashion in close collaboration with her restorative dentist. The treatment was provided in a team-approach between the oral surgeon, Dr. H. Ryan Kazemi and the restorative dentist, Dr. Gary Kaihara.  See Prezi presentation below.
