About This Course
Innovation and technology are moving at a rapid pace with many developments impacting the role of implant therapy within the dental practice. Today, the success of implant treatment is defined by both function and esthetics, whereby the design of the implant system plays a critical role for achieving predictable restoration of teeth, even for patients with poor bone quality.
This program will discuss the role of implant design, biomechanics, and abutment options for achieving optimal results. The benefits of a design philosophy based on the natural dentition utilizing a site-specific, crown-down approach and further supported by an intuitive surgical protocol and a simple prosthetic workflow will be reviewed.
The successful integration of new technologies within the practice will also be presented and include the latest in patient-specific overdenture solutions. In particular, restorative treatment concepts based on telescopic principles are gaining in popularity due to their stability and ease of hygiene maintenance by the patient. We will discuss how offering this type of treatment can contribute to practice growth and patient satisfaction.
