The Story:
This 7-year old patient was referred for evaluation of supernumerary teeth in the lower jaw between his lower incisors and primary canine.
Treatment:
A diagnostic CBCT was done to properly diagnose the extent of the supernumerary teeth, their position, and also how to approach their removal. Under local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation, a small incision created in the gum tissue and the supernumerary teeth were isolated and gently removed in atraumatic and non-invasive fashion. A single resorbable suture was used for closure with minimal discomfort and no swelling.
