The Story:
Patient had internal resorption of tooth #18 (lower left second molar) that had to be extracted. The site was grafted and then prepared for implant 4 months later.
Treatment:
Complete digital workflow for 3-D computer-assisted planning of dental implant was followed. A 3-D printed surgical guide was used for proper orientation of implant. Bone and soft tissue thickness was excellent. The implant was allowed to heal for 3 months and then restored with customized abutment and restoration.
