The Story:
This patient had two missing lower molars extracted and wanted to get fixed teeth to restore his bite and chewing. Because the extraction sites were grafted at the time, he had excellent amount of bone for proper support of dental implants.
Treatment:
A diagnostic CBCT (dental CT scan) was done which showed sufficient bone for dental implants. Models were taken and a surgical guide was made based on a prediction of where the ultimate teeth will be restored. This guide was used to accurately position the implants.
Final result:
After a 3-month healing, patient was seen by his restorative dentist, Dr. Eugene Giannini of Washington DC, and the implants were restored with customized abutments and crowns.
