Patient with failing upper bridge and supporting second molar with advanced bone loss and perforation into sinus cavity.
Tooth was extracted and site was cleaned. The anticipated sinus perforation (opening) was gently irrigated. Then a unique collagen plug material was infused with platelet rich fibrin and placed in the socket. Then platelet rich fibrin membrane from patient’s own blood was layered to stimulate gingival healing. Three months later, site healed completely with repaired opening into the sinus and complete regeneration of bone width and soft tissue.
