Treatment of a Patient with Painful Dental Implant with Perforation into Maxillary Sinus and Poor Healing

In this video, Dr. H. Ryan Kazemi presents a patient with chronic pain around a dental implant. Diagnostics indicated inappropriate placement of the implant into the maxillary sinus and poor bone support. The implant was removed using reverse torque technique. The perforation and site was managed with a combination of a special collagen material and platelet rich fibrin membranes from patient’s own blood.
