VIDEO: extraction & site preservation grafting

The Jaw bone may undergo significant resorption or loss due to several reasons:

  • Tooth extraction
  • Traumatic extractions with excessive bone removal
  • Periodontal disease
  • Infection / Abscess
  • Dentures
  • Cysts or other pathological conditions
  • Trauma

Inadequate bone and soft tissue can result in poor aesthetics, difficult hygiene, as well as complicating dental implant replacement. Bone grafting is performed to:

  • Allow placement of dental implants
  • Achieve normal tissue architecture for optimal aesthetics and function
  • Prevent loss of adjacent teeth
  • Restore missing bone around existing teeth
